This is a throwback video reel that was released in 2008 by the super-talented folks over at BBGUN Films. This reel shows a good amount of (presumably) J.Cole’s ”Lost Ones” and “Lights Please” videos. The video for ”Lights Please” should be dropping sometime this summer because BBGUN included snippets of it in their “2010 Spring Reel”-no promises though. J.Cole clips drop at: .29|.33| 1.10

J.Cole recently released via Global Grind the top 5 things he needs to have when recording in the studio.

1. Rap Book- “I‘m a traditional rapper. Pen and Pad. Every now and then I sneak raps on the blackberry but I prefer my thoughts documented on paper.”
2. Macbook- “I started to use Logic recently, it’s cool because I can make beats from wherever I’m at now. Just pull out the laptop and get to work.”
3. Good Headphones- “Incredible sound is a must.”
4. Drinks- Everybody got their vice. I don’t really use liquor for the creative process, but it definitely helps set the mood of a studio session.
5. Good people- “Nothing can ruin a session more than people with clashing energy. As an artist if you’re not comfortable with everybody around you while creating, it can cause you to over-think or lose focus.”
