J.Cole Interviews With MERDJ

Is Hip Hop becoming more lyrically again?
Slowly but surely it’s turning that corner. Especially with the signing of Lupe when he got on that’s when the turn really started. So it’s turning slowly. Artist like myself is really helping the turn even more. When I come out and can have mainstream success, I think that’s going to do wonders for other lyrical rappers.
Describe your music style?
My music don’t have any limits or any barriers. I can do anything. Once you try to box me in over here and categorize me as this type of artist I come over here and do this. I don’t have any limitations to what I do or what I’m able to say. I feel like I can do a record with Soulja Boy if I wanted to and still maintain my creditability because I am me as an artist and I’m not afraid of anything.
Out of the three tittle for the Album that is due to drop in the October 2010 have you picked one yet?
No not yet, but it’s dropping I just want to put it out right.
When people say J. Cole what should it be followed by?
J. Cole is good as hell and I’m determine. That’s what I want them to know I’m determine to put out good music.
